When I was at sears the other night looking at the new hettie,I notice they changed the extra rinse button to one that give you a choice between normal rinse, 2nd rinse and something about sensi-care. Could one of the owners of a new 4t tell me what this is all about-I'm curious! I'm hoping that the new rinse feature makes the machine use more water! |

The skin care rinse option is available for all cycles. It simply adds extra water to each of the rinses for a bit deeper rinse. |

Naughty boy runs amuk...
I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner. Last night I poured more water into my hettie. I thought the old sensor-smart school marm would catch me, drain the extra water off and scold me. It didn't though. I added @ 4 gallons of water, using a bucket to pour it into the dispenser. It was so much more FUN! It made me HAPPIER!! It was like having a Bendix on steriods. Normally, this uses so little water that you don't see much water action. Adding water gave me that water action, known 'round here as "washer drama". That what I thought I was getting when I signed up with a frontloader in the first place.

I did it again
Tonight I really dumped a lot of water in the hettie-brought the water level to the bottom of the window bubble. It was a lot of splashy fun, but too much so I'm afraid. I could see that with that much water, small things like socks could get pushed up into the space between the tubs. The water must have got hot tonight, because at the end of the wash, the machine added more water. This is how it prevents me from standing there with my little thermometer and testing the water temp. Our water does not usually reach the target temps, becuase we are on a solar hot water heater. The landlord keeps it on the cool side(as landlords do) and it really only gets hot in the afternoon. |
