Well maybe it will eventually come to America. I have the LG combo3677 - and maybe almost the same size as this machine.
I would like to take this out for a spin.

Doesn't one of the big box stores carry Panasonic refrigerators? This might be Panasonics way of breaking into the US washer market...

Unfortunately, Whirlpool will never allow this machine to be brought into the United States. They managed to get some patents reissued in 1993 on their vintage combo recuirculation "filter-stream" style system and now its tied up until 2010. I predict after 2010 we should see this system used widespread in US made front loaders.

Do you know a lot about patents? I am still wondering if there is some kind of patent on toploading H-axis machines. Except for the Staber (perhaps they have a patent?) there is no other brand selling H-axis toploaders on the American market.

I dont think that it is a recirculating spray machine, I think it just has baffles that scoop the water.

I cant believe the hide Whirlpool has to put a patent of its onld combo design, then not produce a machine that uses this technology. Instead in puts its name on crappy Servis/Merloni machines and sells it in its home market.

Electrolux in europe uses this technology in the Zanussi jetsystem. Its now is Australia as the Electrolux jetsystem. Would love to get one!

Hi Louis, no I don't know that much about patents, but I did get a chance to read that particular one.

It was interesting to read your post on the Whirlpool patent.
I wonder if they were thinking back in 1993 when they were planning on their frontloader, to use this type of system again. I really wish they would have. You and others that have these combo's talk about how good they are at removing pet hair and such.
