Seems like Electrolux copied Maytag's idea...look here. This has some potential, because unfortunately for Maytag, the Frigemore cleans better than the Neptune, this design looks better & less complicated, IMHO, and costs MUCH less than the Neptune version. And, it has a window in the door!

I saw this at Lowe's and was surprised as well as pleased to see it selling for $859.My only problem again is if one goes,you have to replace both units.I do like the fact that you can use the top to fold clothes as they are being removed from the dryer.I also like the arangement of the control panel.

At first, I was disappointed to find the combo costs less than I paid for the two separate machines. Then I decided the price difference was probably worth it since, if one breaks, the other will still work.

On the other hand, "fold clothes"? What this mean? Clothes are supposed to be folded? What a concept!

And while we're on new concepts, did you know you're supposed to clean the floor UNDER the stove? Sweartogodmargo! Not that I've ever done it, mind you.

Well if you do not clean behind and under the stove, the food bits, crud and gunk make excellent food for rodents and bugs.

Under/behind stoves and fridges are primary spots for rodents/bugs, especially if one has a though the wall gas connection which is not tightly sealed they can come in though.

In one house I lived in-the area under the stove was the mice's meeting and convention area-all the free food!I caught many when I put traps there.Oh-spoiled their meetings!Cut down on their membership-my house was by a large feild-when the farmer that owned it harvested it or Bush-Hogged it that drove the mice into MY house!

On our range, when you pull out the bottom drawer, the floor is exposed for easy cleaning.

I'll second the point about mice. Our cat had a decent feast one night when I pulled back the stove, and the ones who lived to tell the tale & escaped, probably warned their mousey friends to stay the heck away from our house.

Pulling out the drawer only seems like a partial solution; you don't expose the area under the sides, so crumbs build up there and the mice, ants, and God knows what-all else, still have a food supply. What I really want to do is move the entire unit so I can clean the entire area it was sitting on.

Question: How do you move the stove when it's connected to a gas hookup? Isn't that running the risk of flexing the flexible gas pipe until it breaks? (This is making me think an electric range might be a good idea.)

By the way, with Hanta virus around, mice are no longer "merely funny." They're a serious health hazard, risk of death included. From what I've seen, the best solution is something called the Rat Zapper. Their phone number is memorable: 1-800-dead-rat (or it might be 1-888...) and they're on the web. This is an electrocution trap that's instantaneous (humane), and clean (no splatters), and doesn't scare off other mice after the first one meets its fate. They make bigger ones for bigger pests, and institutional models for restaurants and warehouses and so on.

Get longer flex gas line so it doesn't move very much when moving range OR, turn off valve and totally disconnect gas line
