I have a 1986 I believe Maytag A612, Series 02 TL washer that I have replaced. It is working, but a year ago began to leak some oil and no work has been done on it. Still have some emotional attachments to it I guess:) and not sure what exactly to do with it. Currently sitting on my porch and needs to go elsewhere. Any suggestions appreciated. TIA |

If I could I would
We can't/won't repair it and would like to make it available to someone who would rather than we or them disposing of it. It has been an extremely reliable machine, no repairs and very gentle, albeit using lots of water. It served us well all these years and wish someone who knows its qualities would take it and keep it running if possible. Guess I can dream:) |

Is there a Goodwill,or Salvation Army store around? They usually take working appliances, and resell them.

It's not as simple....
with older appliances. I had a 27-year old GE electric range in find shape. None of the agencies I contacted would even come look at it. The story was, they did not take anything older than ten years. |

it depends...
someone posted back in August a pic from a Goodwill store that had a LK dryer with lighted controls. IIRC the asking price was either $40 or $80. Also depending on where you live you might find someone that sells used appliances (and may repair them) that would at least pick them up for you. |
