I just noticed that Cooking.com has started selling Major appliances including washers. And they have a wide variety available, including a Maytag LAV3600.

It finally hit me when I saw those photos of the Bosch dryers. The U-shaped doors look like the cover of a toilet seat, just hinged to open to the side. They could not have made it uglier if they had tried. Ugly and cheap.

I've wondered why they chose that design option for their dryers, too. I think their washers are fine looking machines.

Toilet Seat Lids

That's funny! I have a client that built a new home (a converted commercial building) and has the neatest bathroom fixtures - from Italy I believe, the lids are exactly that "U" shape.
