I searched this site for a LG washer repair but their is no listing. Maybe someone out their has repaired one. I had a clicking sound in the washer. Couldn't find any information on the noise. I called the company and they suggested to call a repair man, being its out of waranty. Well, you know what they cost. So, I took the washer apart myself, with no book. I found a penny in the water pump. Now, how could a penny get in the water pump? So,I took the penny out and put the machine back together with one problem. The washer is supported by 4 or 5 plastic pistons, I cannot remember the number, well I was wondering what type of grease is needed in the pistons. |

I have the service manual for the large washer
I'll look in it and see if they call for anything but I don't remember it being that detailed.

I'm not familiar with these machines in particular but most machines with a friction slider in the suspension use a real sticky special grease, it is not a regular grease. It is almost the reverse of a lubricant, more of a sticky gel, the idea is to make it sticky to give some friction. The friction is necessary to stop the drum jumping around too wildly on spin.

Good advice Gizmo
I can't seem to locate my LG service manual right now.
