That's a great-looking washer, newwave1. The off-set oval design around the door is cool. I'd love to see pictures of the control panel up close when you get it installed. Congratulations on your new purchase!

Darren!!

I'm watching you make a cuppa tea from across the kitchen right now and think that you're glancing out the window sneaking a peek at Sammy out in the cold... :-P.

I'm insistent that I showed the Samsung to you, but hey shall we just settle on a draw and say we both saw it together? LOL.

Anyway guys, Darren has got his washer (its humming away right now outside his kitchen window :-D) - will leave him to tell you all about it!

Take care guys,

Jon (who is round Darren's house hogging his Vaio!!)

Hey Hey!
heres the samsung update 4 ya guys!

it arrived at around 1-1.30pm! jon was here for its arrival!

the machine i got was white. i was sayin to jon i couldnt remember if i got the silver or white one in the end! crucial detail that i forgot! im happy with the white one though its very nice looking!

we unboxed it & took out the bolts & got it in place!

well we got it hooked up & when we turned it on, immediately we were impressed with how hi-tech the machine was!

when you turn the machine on & when it finishes a cycle it does a humourous jingle! which we thought was very funny.

the jogdial is smooth & illuminated allaround with led red lights. the digital display is made up of green leds.

the machine is well built, more so than jons bosch he thought!

the machines big digital display is great & very imformative!

it counts down not only the time but the rinses too! of which you can do 5!!!

so if the rinse water which reaches the curved part of the door isnt ample! you can do 1-5 rinses!

on the sensitive cycles it does 4 as standard! with the option to add the extra one for a total of 5!

first we ran a quick rinse & spin. the spin was interesting in that it bursted once & gentley revved up & up & up & up!

we've done two cycles today but have decided to call it a day as its very cold here in england. grrr!

we firstly did a "cotton sensitive" cycle..40degrees with 4 deep rinses. & 1200rpm. very entertaining. videos to follow!

& also synthetic 40degree cycle with 3 rinses & 800rpm!

the drum is 6kg which is roomy. the paddles r very unique in their shape. i cannot find the right word to describe them but they curve in & then out again which seemingly helped to move the load forwards.

all in all im so pleased with the machine. it'll stick around for a while i think....if something better doesnt come along :-P

Darren

Hey Darren!

Silly me posting here, when I can just say it to you sitting right next to me, but just thought I'd say I love your Sammy :-P.

Guys, I'll make sure he'll post pictures AND videos soon, although I'm not sure if videos are in the pipeline yet if it carries on to be this cold - cold enough to freeze your fingers if you stay out for more than 2 minutes! Made for very difficult Sammy-viewing!

Take care all,

Jon

hey guys,
the pictures & videos will be up in the next few days. my friend has borrowed my digital camara. of which i will be claiming back tomorrow!! heres a quick note for you.

i've yet to see a machine other than jons miele do this, but the samsung "sensitive skin delicates" cycle works pretty much lyk a synthetic cycle. aside from the wash motion. it filled low level for wash & did intermittent spins! which surprized me because not even my old hoovers or my aeg did that! hehe it jst keeps surprizing me.

i didnt have much laundry at the time of making pix & video. so,for visual purposes ran 2 towels through a rinse & spin so u got the general idea.

more substantial videos to follow when i've got two minutes to myself to do them. the water level is ample. i have to admit the senitivity of the machine is quite irritating sometimes. next pic is the display which is nicely illumitated

Post# 101340-1/2/2006-18:26 ||| newwave1 (Lincoln. United Kingdom)

next pic is of the rinse fill level.
