Well, I didn't wind up taking pics of full-on dirty loads, but here are some shots of the machine and things it will hold. This won't impress those of you who all ready have tall-tub machines, but I'm amazed!

What I like: SS tall-tub, extremely versatile loading options, adjustable/removable upper rack, very quiet operation, cleaning ability (especially noticeable with crusty pots and pans), 38-minute Insta Wash cycle

What I don't like: no countdown timer or cycle progress lights, 160 Degree Wash option is actually a 160 degree rinse option

I like being able to stand two 13 x 9" cake pans upright along the side. They come clean, too. Leaves a lot of room in lower rack for other items. Upper rack is in lower position, even!

This is the buffet which is always set up in my dining room. It's a handy way to feed company, and I can put everything out and be free of kitchen duties once guests arrive.

Consequently, I wash a lot of full-size chafer pans. A 13 x 21" chafer insert fits along the side, again saving room in lower rack. Needless to say, my beloved Frigidaire was unable to do the same.

I brine turkey before roasting in a 7-gallon plastic tub. It is 13" tall nad 16" across the top. It wouldn't fit in my previous DW. The upper rack is in the upper position in this pic. The roasting pan for the turkey is 14-1/2" x 17". It fits along the side, and it came out clean!

I didn't think I'd like the 2-tiered upper rack, but it's really very versatile. Holds taller, larger bowls than my previous DW, and the rack is in the upper position.

Here are the cycle pads. The NORMAL WASH cycle clocks in at 1 hour 50 minutes, with an incoming water temp of 140 degrees. The HEAVY WASH cycle using HEATED WASH and 160 DEGREE WASH options clocked in at 2 hours 18 minutes. The INSTA WASH cycle takes 38 minutes and allows no options. Haven't used the sensor-controlled AUTO CLEAN cycle yet. The operation manual says that the sensor is active in both NORMAL and AUTO CLEAN cycles.

And here are the cycle options. HEATED DRY and HEATED WASH options are automatically chosen for AUTO CLEAN, HEAVY and NORMAL cycles. TOUGH SCRUB PLUS increases water temp and wash time.

Just for fun, I 'christmas-treed' the HEAVY cycle (used all the options at once). It clocked in at 2 hours 30 minutes.

Correction: I used the HEATED WASH and TOUGH SCRUB PLUS options (not the 160 degree wash option) when timing the HEAVY cycle. I figured that combination would be my standard cycle for pots and pans.

Eugene you have captured the sheer flexibility of this Maytag. I'm not even sure the GE Tall Tub culd do this, but wish I could give it a try if I had one.

been a fan of Maytag dishwashers, but I am really #%$@^ing impressed!

I have to say I'm pretty impressed with this machine, too. I've been cooking for a lot of company so the DW has been running almost constantly the past few days. It is definitely the quietest DW I've ever owned. I can't imagine how quiet a Bosch must be! But mainly, I'm happy with its capacity and loading flexibility for out-sized items.
