Hi! What you it says me on the quality of laudering of this washer? It is of easy maintenance? Here in the Brazil electrolux launched this model and I want to buy, however that I want to know on it!

Does the Frigidaire have the Jetsystem feature(jet of water that showers over the laundry)???

Yes mine has the jet stream.. I just whent back and stuck my head in it to see and discovered that a small little dress sock was stuck in the lip in the boot seal.. I absolutly love my washer.. I think it gets cloths far cleaner than anything i have ever used and it makes them super dry.. Plus it's very easy to use... Thats why i like it the best.. Turn one knob and push a few buttons and voila.. Plus i think its a nice looking machiene

It is a handsome washer, The Affinity. Thanks for all the pics! My local Frigi/Maytag dealer has 3 Affinity sets in the store----and only a couple of toploaders. Maybe FL'ers really are going to take a bigger chunk of the market, even here in rural Minnesota.

I'm holding out for the Epic. I've been saving up for a Duet pair, but would rather purchase from my Maytag/Frigi dealer. Now I can get the Duet/Ensemble machine rebadged as a Maytag. Win-win!

I'm trying to decide between the Affinity, the HE2, and the GE.

Nice looking machine, and that control panel looks very much like the new Miele W1 & W4 range.

I`m intreagued by what looks like three jets in the door boot??, would that be for Bleach, Wash Water & Fabric conditioner perhaps??? I noticed on the Electrolux Brazil Eco model that in the pics the jet was being used on the Lhs

Normal, no extended spin or extra rinse, Warm/Cold, took 41 minuets..

why do people who have frontloaders have to use detergents that have that "HE" logo? (i know there called high efficiency) i dont really know much about this thats why im asking im thinking when our other old washer went loco lol i used to go to the laundromat and use the frontloaders and we never bought those "he" detergents then again i never remember seeing them back then (around 99-01) so why now they make them so much im assuming theres demand,? we bought some "he" detergent once and we have a toploader but it worked the same and left the clothes just as clean as a reguler det. so why do they use "he"?

HE detergent is low sudsing.

V-In order for these new front-loaders to clean properly, you can't have an over-abundance of suds in the washer drum (they cushion the clothes from one another, defeating the purpose, because the action of the clothes tumbling and the friction is what gets them clean). The big brands of detergent (Tide, Gain, Cheer, are too sudsy, and the HE detergents generate less suds in the drum.

So what you need is a low-sudsing detergent, not necessarily an HE one. There are regular detergents that tend to be less sudsy, like Arm and Hammer, Fab, Purex, etc.

But the detergent companies (I believe in conjunction with the washer manufacturers) sold HE detergents, which originally cost more, so they could keep front-loading customers away from cheap detergents, keep them using the same amount of detergent each time instead of having them just use less regular detergent, and create another specialized product.

When that routine only went over so well, they began issuing warranties on new front-loaders sold that specified that using a non-HE detergent would invalidate the machine's warranty.

Opinions are divided on whether or not a front-loader requires detergent with the HE emblem on it. I believe, that with my soft water, you can get away with a proportionally smaller amount of certain lower-sudsing regular detergents and do just fine.

The reason why the machines in laundromats never required special "HE" detergents is because those machines are designed differently than the ones they are putting out for us to buy for our homes, and the laundromat's machines don't use such small amounts of water, where suds control is so important. IMO, most folks in the laundromat aren't going to obey any rules and regs on what kind of detergent they are told to use anyway!

thanks for the explanation i was wondering what it was all about now come to think of it, it makes perfect sense one time in the laundromat when i went i had used one the smaller FL and i put regular detergent and it got completely overdosed the clothes all i could see was white foam and it was coming out the top compartment and then when i got the attendent to come over when it finished turned out the person before me used too much powder and it still was dispensing it! now see im gonna keep in mind what you guys suggest IF i ever have to go to the laundromat i will use the "he" detergents i dont need a foam fest lol thanks for the info. ;)

The standard 40 deg(warm) wash on mine takes just over 2 hours, the quick option basically halves that. In commom with virtually all new UK/Europe machines its cold fill only. Mostly I use the quick option, but with extra rinse. that takes just under 1 1/2 hours. Strangly the 60deg/Hot programme is acyually very slightly quicker!!!
