I saved this 1999 Sears Kenmore washer and dryer. All I had to do was clean them up and they both work like new! It seems lately quite a few people are getting FL sets and discarding their trusty TL sets. ![]() |

Could you post more pics of the inside of the washer & dryer? My family had a washer just like that one. It had the same control panel design but it had only 4 water level selections.

here is some more pics inside as requested. I took them both apart to clean inside. They are super easy to service! I've always been a fan of direct drive Whirlpool washers. ![]() |

inside of dryer. the white drum is stained from drying blue jeans. The model number tag is missing on the washer for some weird reason but its is the 80 series super capacity plus. ![]() |

I love that model. Very nice find. I, last week found curbside a rather outdated but collectible set of GE's. I'm away from my shop at the moment so I can't go look at the model number but I can describe the set. The washer/dryer combo is a GE "Americana" The washer has the mini-wash setting which is rather cool and the dryer is the biggest thing I've ever seen. I think I measured it in width at around 30 and a half inches if my memory serves me correct. I need to put a belt on it. The washer had a minor leak around the boot. I would like to replace the flouresent bulbs on the console to see if they work. |

Those dryers were some of the best ones made. They dry clothes quickly without overdrying them. Just remember that your washer is a "shredmore"! |

Allen, yep, my thoughts exactly, a Shredmore. |

yeah that washer sure churned up the water when I ran a cycle with a few rags and bleach. I always thought they were rough on clothes but tough little washers though. Almost bulletproof! |
