Yesterday, whil I was loadin my DW, I was wondering why don't post some pics for a BOBLOAD?!

So here it is my first bob load pictures over here! This is the bottom rack...I fit everything everywhere in the racks, of course here in Italy we do really bobloads loading our DWs :-)

NORMALE: cold prewash and 65°C mandi wash, two cold rinses and 65°C last rinse...het dry!

Unfortunately I forgot to take up the results pics so...trust in me! It had been a very good results!

Diomede, that's one of the biggest BobLoads I've ever seen. You even get special honors for it. WOW!! But everything looks clean already, pretty much rinsed off, no food soil.

....and when you say COLD prewash and rinse, I suppose you mean COLD!!! Cold water fill seems so odd to me!

Funny how the detergent cups and rinse-aid dispenser are the same here!

That is a load and a half :) We never could've packed ours like that and had a hope of anything coming clean. Out Freestanding whirlpool with those racks, must've been possessed :)

Most non american machines, give a cold pre-wash unless you select pots and pans. The interim rinses stay cold too, however with the retained heat in the tub, the water can be quite hot by the time the first rinse finishes.

Yes, it's in our habits to provide with a good rinse-off instead of using the rinse hold cycle which the machine is supported with... here in Italy most peopele do like so, especially when the partial load is not to be washed immediately

COLD, even though the machine would be hooked up to the HOT water (max 60°C), we've alwasy have hooked up the DWs we owned to the cold, so the cycle start alwasy with cold water and the prewash is with cold then it drains and refill with cold water that is so heated up with the internal heater to 65°C and is like so for the last rinse, which helps so the drying phase
The previous DW we had was supported with the pushbutton to avoid the last heating phase so the timer advanced to left your load dripping, this was recommended on its user's manual to save energy and whether you didn't need to be the load immediately dried!

Diomede! In pre-rinsing you waste tons of water!!! And besides, I don't think is true that everybody in Italy does the same as you said, rinse&hold is way better even if I must say I never use it since even if the food dryes on it gets cleaned anyway nicely.

When my new dishwasher arrives tomorrow or on wednesday I´ll do a Bobload and someday there will be some pictures when my parents left home :)

:-) Well Gabri...I didn't say "everybody" I say "most" people...
In our family it depends on who's loading the DW, my sister of course doesn't pre rinse anything! My mother otherwise have never been trusting in "technology" so she prefer to be sure pre-rinsing at least the first part of the load instead of occurring the risk to having not a good resuslts
I IMHO prefer to use the rinse-hold especially when you're to fit many items in the racks so I found more convenient to let the DW prerinse for me...but when I had only 4dishes and 4 glasses and 4 forks... well it would be better to scrubb all and put in without either pre rinsing than using the rinse-old

To save water I often close the drain of the sink and scrubb everything with that water...curent water of course is using very rarely to do thatn :-)

BTW, just during this days, FINISH which is the most populare DW detergente here in Italy is spotting a sensibilization campaign to incentivate people doing the washing-up with the DW just to save water instead of doing it by hand...but hostely you should just hear those people here saying "ah, ma per due piatti li faccio a mano" (="ah, but only for two dishes I'll do it by hand!), because they disgust just to rinse and hold...

Ops... I forgot!!! Yup, I'll post a few photos very soon! Today I prepared bread and biscuts at home to relax after the university, now I'm going out to have an after-dinner drink with a friend, and tomorrow the dishwasher will be fully loaded :D again... I unloaded it just this evening! Figures that in 4 people we run it full twice a day and yesterday three times because we had guests! Hehe. Anyway, bravo Diomede! I tought of you washing the dishes under running water in the sink like my flatmate used to do before coming in the new flat with me.

I remember that adverts from Finish, neat! Anyway after a few tryes I started using the Carrefour powder that washes really good and lasts ages! My aunt recomended it to me and it really does the job!
