I'm having a blast with my hotpoint wt960! Its performed great since day one.

I've just made a discovery. The machine does nice level rinses as standard, however, if you want something a little extra, if u use a 2 litre jug, and fill the machine in wot i call the "low & slow" part of the rinse with about 4-6litres of water whilst it tumbles.

When it moves onto the faster tumbles and fills to high level, as its a timed fill you end up with a rather large quantity of water in your rinse! great fun! especially when it starts distributing!

Just thought i'd share that with you! I have a jam packed 7kg load full of allsorts of heavy hooded tops, jeans, and a towel & i still got a rinse that is about an inche over the curve in the glass!

As some people may already know, on the platinum wool cycle you can make it spin at 1000 instead of 800 if you go back through the spins on the button!

I'm sure their are plenty of other tricks on indesit company machines, i've heard you can get the indesit moon to do a spin only by pressing a few button sequences!

That's very interesting I never realised the second fill was timed on the Hotpoint Ultima, I guess it must be timed on the Aqualtis too. I had a WF860P for a few years and I never made the timed fill connection.

The low & slow part of the cycle is load saturation, the paddles lift water and shower the load more effectively at low tumble speeds.

i chuck jugs of water in the whirly anyway during the wash to boost the level a bit, until i can see the level on the glass like on old hotties lol, its great fun but can get a bit sudsy at times :)

Hi all

I used to do the same with my AEG microtronic from the mid 90s. It used such a small amount of water and used to drain at the begining of every program so using the wool wash was out.
