Thanks Greg!

I'm glad you like it, I'm not quite done yet. I have a few more surprises in store.

Hello "Uni":

How have you been???? It's been a minute since I have last posted here. But just like all of the vintage surprises I see all of the members seem to find all the time, it's never a dull moment around here, is it???

By the way...... love the new format. It will take some getting used to. But I think I can adapt.

Glad you guys like the changes

Has anyone noticed what the symbol is that I had choose for the Discuss-o-Mat logo?

Discuss-O-Mat Symbol

Robert ,

It looks like dial from the Control Tower Frigidaire washers and dryer.

Discuss-O-Mat Symbol

I was thinking from the owners manual of the Frigidaire Control Tower.

Now tell us what we have won Robert!! :-)

A Brand new car I think Robert told me.

Post# 44766-9/9/2004-19:00 ||| neptuneguy27 (Baltimore,MD)

Awwww Man!!! I was so hoping for a nice 1979 Coppertone Whirpool Imperial Washer and Dryer. Are you sure that isn't behind curtain # 1 ? :-)

Post# 44767-9/9/2004-19:40 ||| Unimatic1140 (Minneapolis)

Winnings

Yes both the car (a Vega) and the '79 Whirlpool in coppertone are behind the curtain that Carol Mayrol is standing in front of. Unfortunately, we just have one problem, the harp is broken so we cannot open the curtain without the proper sound effect :(

Better luck next time! :)

Lost and Found

Robert,

How about a lost and found section where members could post that they need a part or they found a specific machine during a weekend hunt and offer it up to another member?

Thread Limit?

Is there a limit to the number of active threads?

MRB

Post# 44894-9/11/2004-16:13 ||| Unimatic1140 (Minneapolis)

100 Threads

Hi MRB. Yes each forum will have a total of 100 threads. After 100 threads the one last one at the very bottom gets closed and moved to the archive. You will still be able to view all threads after they get moved to the archive, just from a different menu.

Good To Know

That is good to know, just in case a rogue user begins creating unnecessary threads.

WOW! Thankyou so Much, the old Classic Appliances was great, but this is really something special.

Great to have one website where we can all discuss washing machines old and new in one location!

Great new layout.

Thanks again for Unimatics hard work!

e-mail addresses

I was wondering, many of us have our e-mail address as part of our profile. Perhaps the profiles should be available only to logged in members. This might deter spamers who want to get active e-mail addresses.
