How Dry I am?

I've heard stories that my great aunt had a dryer that would play "How Dry I Am" in lieu of a buzzer when the clothes were dry. The only reference I was able to find was that this might have been a Westinghouse. Has anyone heard about this model?

Cory, yes it was a Westinghouse dryer that matched their front load washer. I believe it was on the market around 1952 or 1955 at the very latest. If the date is incorrect, someone will correct me.

how dry i am

Yes there was the DeLuxe Laundromat twins available around 1955-1956 that had in the base of the dryer in front of the blower a small little xylophone with a switch connected to the timer. When the dryer was ready to shut off,the timer started the xylophone and it would play "How Dry I Am" to let you know your load was ready to put away."You can be sure.....if it's WESTINGHOUSE.

Would anyone happen to have a pic of this machine (or the dryer itself)? Sounds interesting...
