I decided to give myself the machine for Christmas. I was the winning bid. The machine will be shipped from Long Island to Tucson, Arizona. Ironic because I used to live in Queens, New York, only 5 minutes from Long Island border. I will be installing machine in garage where it will be bolted down next to my 1947 Bendix.

Ross, congratulations. I am relieved this wonderful washer is going to a club member's home (I remember you when you first joined quite a while back) and it will be loved, appreciated, and taken very good care of. What a combo, right next to da Bendix too (I remember when you got that). Bob

Welcome to Applianceville

Hi Ross, welcome to the club! You have a nice collection I see and congrats on your new westinghouse coin-op. If you have a digital camera we would love to see some more pictures of it when it arrives. Keep us posted.

HI Ross!! Relief!

Congratulations Ross! I am very glad it was a club member and not a Coin Op guy that won! Hope it arrives safe and sound and please send us pictures of your first wash! Many happy years of use! You will enjoy that machine.

I have noticed this on some combo pics as well. A clean out if case of loose coins or?? Whoops tried to post the pic of the plate with the screw in the drum.Thanks. What is that for? Thanks. alr2903

Congrats on the machine, Ross - pics would be great of all your machines! Good luck with the move, Tucson is beatiful.

Alr, that is precisely what those access panels in the drum were for. In the 70's Westy front-loaders, you could easily remove one of the Lint Sweeper Vanes and clean out the sump as well.
