Found these on E-bay while surfing today. Appear to be in pretty good shape and I'm fairly certain based on the controls that the washer would be a TOL unit for that time? They also have all the original manuals with them.

Early 80's Maytag TL W&D
These babies are from the later 70's - 1980 is when they put the main dial to the right of the console.

Late '70's. I had a gas dryer of this vintage. Gave many years of good service. Nice looking set! |

Dave, these were not TOL or 2nd from TOL. This was a one-speed washer. Even blowing up the picture, I can't tell if this was a Fabric-Matic model or just a simple 1-speed washer. Some of the Fabric-Matic models had fabric buttons where the speed buttons would normally be. And other model had the flat "dummy" fill-in on the panel and the fabricmatic cycles were on the timer knob. |

Looks like a plain single-speed to me---in any event, a good machine! |

In case no one else happened to notice as I did, the Model's of both the Washer and Dryer were listed at the lower part of the listing on E-Bay. IMHO, I don't know why no one else did notice them there. I'm surprised that everyone else missed them. I'm not trying to sound like a jerk about this, I'm just passing on info, that obviously was overlooked, so everyone else would know the info now. There were listed in the area where it says: Ask the owner question's. The Model Number's according to the answer there are:

Fabric Matic
the A107 is the beginner model Maytag Highlander. It's a single speed large capacity washer.Probably one of their best built most dependable models.I still enjoy my avacado green A806 I found at a dealership nearby 4 years ago.It has never been serviced and has no leaking oil anywhere.I did replace the inlet hoses, jet spray nozel and belts. |
