The first Asko's that were sold in the Netherlands came in various colors. You hardly see them anymore, I don't think they were as well built as Asko claimed. Much to my surprise I found a picture of a set that is being sold. And it's pink. Very pink!

Or, maybe I should say Pepto Pink.

Have you seen the pink FriGEMore?

It is in the lastest ads for Spray and Wash. Just about the same color.

Even if you don't like this particular color, at least you got to give them credit for trying something besides boring white. Look at the sad "color" choices we have now.

A CGA-pink Asko set!!! Too neat!

I wonder what it looks like behind the door, and in action? How lucky the owner is...;-)

These machines looked pretty much the same on the inside as later Asko's, although they are from the late seventies or early eighties. This washer also has the Asko double door system and no rubber gasket. These machines also came in blue, yellow, black, white and I think there was also some kind of green color. The washer was quite a water guzzler for a frontloader. And IIRC Asko didn't have a condenser dryer at that time so this must be their automatic dryer. Two automatic cycles and a timed cycle. The dryer doesn't have electronic sensors. Fortunately I'm out of room for that set....
