The last pic appears to be taken from inside the dryer facing toward the door! |

Re: Dryer:
Glenn "DADoES" that is the rear of that Frigidaire "1-18" Dryer. The Holes on the back "Bulk-Head" are where the Heat distributes through, with the Lint Filter being in the Lower Front, of the Drum opening. I had an Avocado Matched Set that I bought in 1976 and later on sold them to a Woman Friend that needed a Washer and Dryer, after her house was burned down and they lost everything, except fortunately not their lives. I sure wish that I had another Set to sell her, so I would no doubt still have these.

Ahh. I thought it was the front, with a lint filter in the door. My bad! Either way, it's an unusual pic! |

This is right in my back yard
Unfortunately, these don't appeal to me a whole lot. Laundress, keep up the good work. |

Mike
Snatch these machines. And hoard for someone else in the club. Trust me, you will not keep them stored very long.

Wow - what a steal for such a great set! I'm sure these are going to go to SOMEONE here... |

I recommend that if anyone here is seriously interested in these to follow this auction and bid at the last possible second. Remember the last 1-18 set on eBay that was sniped with 10 seconds to spare. These are a great set and I hope someone gets them that would use them and cherish them forever. I do think the price will climb higher toward the end but they are worth it. Happy bidding (and no I'm not the seller!) Patrick |

Well, listen
I'll be happy to pick these up for someone and store them in my basement until they can get up this way, which would relieve the stress of having to immediately pick them up or the expense of having them shipped. So, if someone here wants these, they can contact me and we'll work that out. I don't think I'd want to buy them on "spec", though.

The best I can tell ya is...
"Mike, I'm surprised that a machine with unusual washing action (agitator moves up and down 360 times a minute) as well as a fill circle spray fill doesn't appeal to you!!!"

Ok I'm Game for this......
If either of you guys can store it for me, I'll try for it. I'm going to get a new home in the spring and I could plan a trip to get them. I might get my dad to come with me on a trip. It would be awsome to have this set for my new home.

Joe, I'm not sure who the othe guy is that you're talking about, but if you win the auction, I can do that for you, no problem. Good luck. |

Holy Crap!
I just watched the 1-18 videos. Man, that Jet Cone really moves. And the spin cycle looks like it's in fast forward. I can see why people like it. Is this washer louder than Sam Kinison? I mean, when he was living? |

Unfortunately I'm out
Don't think I'll be able to bid on this set now. Budget is tight unfortuntaly. Thanks for the offer to store for me versatronic. Just not in the cards this time.

Fair or not, it's the game...
Whatever your opinion of these auction sniper services may be, the reality is that this is now the playing field and the new rules of the online auction game. If you want to win something you really want, you have to compete with everyone else out there. I swear by these services and wouldn't have won the Maytag dishwasher yesterday without it. More often than not, sniping an item with your maximum amount will end with a lower final bid rather than other bidders nickel & diming you all the way up to the max amount when you bid in the beginning. |

Well Laundress
I have purchased an item or two because you provided a link to it here, so in that sense, it's helpful. On the other hand, I do a lot of trolling of myself, and will only post a link here if I'm not going to bid because I don't want the competition. Like that pair of Maytags I recently posted a link to. I kept it to myself when I thought I'd bid on them, but then posted here when I knew I wouldn't.

Hey everyone
I have a question. Now that I won the set, I have been planning a trip out to PA with Christopher to pick them up. This is turing in to a logistics nightmare, we figure between the trailer rental, gas and a hotel. It's going to be about $500. Between the money on our time, I was wondering if it would be better to ship them. Does anyone know any good shippers?

Shacking up
I'm a half hour away for York. If you want to hole up here for the night to avoid having to pay for a hotel, you are welcome to. You can also rent a trailer here and take it back with you so at least you won't have pay for a trailer both ways. Maybe you already planned to do that, but just in case. There are U-hauls all over the place here. One is minutes from my place. I'm sure York has a number of U-haul places and other one-way rental places. |

Depending upon how soon the seller wants the appliance out, you have a few options. Versatronics generous offer, or contact Craters and Freighters.
