Wimper Wimper Wimper. If I only had a way to go get it and bring it back, I'd buy it. It's a beaute and rare model. |

Yikes, while any lighted-panel Maytag is a cool machine, it looks like a rust-bucket if you ask me...I've certainly had my fair share of THOSE in the short time I've been collecting!! LOL |

It's worth the starting bid,I wouldn't go much more. That would be a good donor,if you had one with a better cabinet.

It was orginally coppertone, CA806 on the model tag indicates the color. Pre-Perm Press cycle with auto soak and pre-wash was made before February 1969. It needs a new lid, paint-job, obviously a belt set and replace that dial/knob with the orginal. Since there are no pictures of the inside of the washer, we'll just assume for the sake of hopeful collectors everywhere that it's just mint! |

Too bad my CA806S is only white, but the Cordovan Brown is a neat colour. My machine was found in the garbage by a fluke on the way to work one morning and was tossed because it leaked water all over the floor. I ended up replacing the transmission with a brand new Dependable Drive, because the agitator shafts on most of the old heilical drive transmissions all had grooves worn in the seal surfaces so deep that the shaft seal would no longer hold water.

The seller says 1971. I say it sat around for a awhile. The serial # says May 1967. This was the begining of perm press.

Sreial numbers
Serial numbers are kinda like S.S. #s. They are suppose to be unique to the machine and tells what, when, where and in alot of cases will tell who and what time.
