The "sign thingy"is FRIGIDAIRE's "Sheer look" the right angled design that was introduced back in 1957.It set the pace for all appliance manufacturers to follow for decades introducing pastel colors in the 50's and 60's along with bolder more earthtone colors in the 70's. |

Thanks for all the compliments everyone. jasonl is right, the washer is intended to be on the left and the dryer on the right. I was too tired and lazy to do that, but will correct the issue, is it does conflict with BOTH lids! I am so used of my Maytag's being there that I guess I wasn't thinking, hooked up the dryer and, well, there you have it.
