Aferim!
Very adorable machine. Love that unusual(for a Maytag)speckled tub. I think friends of ours in Peter Cooper had one of these. Like all illegal Peter Cooper machines it was mounted on casters so it could be whisked into a closet if management ever came calling. Maytags were also popular in those apartments cause they were so quiet and didn't make lots of suds to show up in neighbors' sinks alerting everyone to their presence. |

Boo Yah Terry! So so so happy for you - I know this is a moment that you've been waiting for - congrats on having something fun to play with! I love the early speckled tubs - when you take a picture of them, you almost would suspect that they are a solid tub ;-)

What a beautiful machine Terry!
Did the machine have a bleach dipsenser or a fabric softener dispenser?

Terry a big YAY. But Terry, that's not you modeling the machine. How did Robert get next to the machine if it's in your garage? |

It's ADORABLE!!! I have a weakness for such simplistic looking machines! I've always hoped for the day when a rare Maytag would pop up with only a start button for a center dial and everything preset!!! The simpler the better! YAY! |

Thanks everyone for all of the kind words. The "pink" Maytag is a beautiful machine and I was so blessed that Greg gave it to me. I had it shipped down here last January so it has been here a while. It is a fun machine, so very quiet and when you hear it run you can just hear the "Quality" that they use to build into them. Terry |

I love that machine. My mother bought a white one just like that for my cousin at an auction for EIGHT DOLLARS. The only thing it needed were new hoses and she used it for like 7 or 8 years and gave it to her sister who used it til it finally died....and that was only like 10 years ago. Its amazing how well those things were built. |
