If you look at the link, you'll see that it has a three-position lever: Wash, Neutral, Pump. And from the pic you'll see that the Stainles wash tub is probably the main reason why this thing is still around... lol... Wonder if it really aerates the laundry? That's much like the one I got a few months ago and posted here though mine only has gravity drain. All I could find out about it was it was made in the 40's by the Monitor Electric Corp. Still works, if I had a video cam I'd take pictures. Right now it resides out on my back deck, the first person that comes and claims it can have it. ![]() |

Suds o fun, you can see the fast blurring turnover on the left. Perfect for dirty shop towels which is what they guy who sold it to me used it for. ![]() |

I haven't been able to confirm it yet but I strongly think that Hoover bought the patents and this became the first Hoover portable from the looks of the early Hoover washer Mike in the UK has. |

Wow, I'm so surprised there are two of these things still around.

Hoover Aerator
Nice machines there guys, the Hoover 0307 was produced here and launched in 1948, it takes a 4.5lb load , has a narrow but deep tub and has a more vigerous wash action than the later single tubs and twinnies. It holds 6.35 gallons of water and the Pulsator spins at 560rpm..manual wringer with auto spring pressure. It would be interesting to know when thw monitor was first produced, also didnt Gibson have a tie in with Hoover for the first auto washers?? Theres a little vid on the link, look at how small the empty hole is, yet is produces a massive vortex and power when emptying!!!

Hoover 0307 cover
One thing about Hoover , everything was thought through thoroughly..the top triples as a cover when storing, at the back for the wringer tray, and at the front as a lid to stop splashing when washing!!! ![]() |

Interesting. It's sort of a tumbler-impeller wash action. Maytag added a second disk, slowed it down considerably, and got their Neptune HE toploader... which flopped.

That all just confirms it more.. My Monitor has the same type of cover/tray. Somewhere I found a link showing the next Monitor with the pump and then with a fold down electric wringer.

No sign of a cover/tray for the one being listed here.
