Tell us about your collection:
-I have a small collection of Maytags, A107,A408, DG906: then a Roper gas Dryer,a slant dash "go with anything" Kenmore electric dryer,a Haier front load 11lb capacity washer, a Poppy Red 1-18 on loan to friends.

What are your dream machines yet to be found?
-Maytag A906, Maytag combo

What are your earliest and favorite appliance memories?
-I think we had from appliance memory a 1957 Whirlpool Imperial washer and dryer, I can remember the light up press panel thing in front of the dryer that when you pushed it, it opened the dryer, but the one to the washer did not do anything, and I thought that was strange, as a kid. The washer was replaced by a Norge with all the buttons, which looked cool but was crap, and then a Maytag A107 which is still in use today.

What is the history of appliances you have owned?
Maytag 1995 Dependable Care White on White Washer and Dryer, loved the two, my first extra large capacity, moved these to San Francisco where I bought a home that had really nice older Whirlpool slanty fronts that I donated to an an AIDS hospice that went through a lot of laundry and machines. Since then, I have never lacked for washing machines, or people that need them, it seems.

Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any major appliances?:
Put in new pumps in Mayags. Totally restored an A408.(Including paint) Installed a new solenoid and water fill to tank parts(those rubbery squiqqly parts) to a Maytag A608. Installed a new gas burner to a Roper dryer,then launched the Space Shuttle(kidding).
