What are your earliest and favorite appliance memories?
My moms 806 Maytag bouncing around in the basement! My sister and I were always fascinated by the machine, and would try very hard to watch it operate while barely opening the lid. We had not figure out the yardstick trick back then.

I just found out over a recent dinner with my parents that my mom had given me a pink, plastic toy vacuum when I was very young. I always asked her if I could, "vannow!"

What is the history of appliances you have owned?
Havent thrown anything away, except tossing the parents 98 Maytag Neptune for a 70s A806 that I found on a curb. Works better than the Neptune ever did, bar none.

Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any major appliances?:
Yes, the restoration is the most enjoyable part of owning the machine, besides the actual moment you find that treasure! The best part of having a collection is being able to share stories and experiences with others. Without them, the restoration and getting the machines water worthy just isnt the same.
