We finally decided to retire our A606 today as we purchased a new frontload washer. We decided that water and electricity effeciency was what we wanted.
My A606 still works great and I'd like to sell it if I can get a decent price for it. Otherwise I'll keep it as a backup as I know the new one probably won't last over 35 years :).
Let me know what this washer may be worth and where I may be able to advertise where people may be interested.
It is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Old washers and dryers are in some people's eyes junk and in others treasures. Much depends upon condition and how rare the appliance is. Still, shipping is a major factor, and could be double or triple what the price paid for the machine. Hardly anyone from California or Texas is going to pay to have it shipped, no matter if you sold it for a dollar, they are still into about 400 bucks in shipping for a used albeit cool appliance. Someone local with a truck, however is a different story. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but the beholder far away is not as able to offer the most due to shipping, which is freeking expensive! Rare diamonds are not a shipping issue, rare washing machines are.
