The Lady....

Steve:

Cute washer, even though it appears to be a little dented in the front. Buda is not too far from me or appnut. What year is this model? Was it any good? Your opinions and advice are always appreciated! For $9.99 I could drive the hour and a half to pick it up :)

that might be what it is worth

we had one and had put 600.00 in parts in it

thank the washer gods it was in warranty

but they are great for a modern washer

Hey Venus, the guy said consider delivery in the Austin or Belton area. Belton is adjacent to Temple LOL. I ahve to admit it's tempting, but if she isn't working, I'm totally lot of luck with no mechanical/electronic expertise. :-)

Reply to Retromom---

Looks like a good old '80s belt-drive to me. Sounds like it has seen some use but parts are easy to come by, and for $10.00. They say it was working when put into storage. I would hook it up on the spot and check it out before driving off with it. Make sure timer advances, water pumps out, machine agitates and spins o.k. no wierd sounds.Could be cheap fun!I think a Penta-Swirl might be interchangable! Good Luck! --Steve

IMHO, this looks more like a DD. The lid on my Kenmore is a little smaller (this one appears bigger), and this machine doesn't look 29" wide, rather 27". Maybe the color black (often associated with new appliances) is messing with my eyes...

Just my opinion though. I'll request a picture of the inside and post it for everyone to see...that will definitely determine what it is.

Jaune, since you have an electronic control BD, any thoughts? Does this look like your machine?

I blew up the picture, it's a DD electronic Kenmore, the new one that was above my LK in 1986.

I stll say belt-drive. For $10.00 its a nice toy! Go get it! Might even figure out how to put in a Vari-Flex or Super Roto-Swirl.

This is a DD. My parents had this machine for 15 years. I'd recognize it anywhere.

By the way, it only broke one time, and that was when it was 15 years old and made a really loud banging sound and was very quickly replaced with a new Frigidaire FL.

O.K. I'm out voted, but for $10.00 a nice toy!

Dead give-a-ways. 27 inch cabinet. Wrong Dual-Action Agitator. Circular Tub ring without fill flume or snubber. This is 100% DD.

Hey, did they update the ad with a picture of the inside tub? Or did I miss something in my drive to prove Steve wrong? Anyway, LOOK at all those hard water lines and build-up in the tub. Yeah, Buda has awefully hard waetr. Lord only knows what the dispensers look like. It looks like it HAS had a rough llife.
