I got to play with an old coin op Speed Queen front loader

And i took vids.
I went to a laundromat that i had never been to before and they had both Maytag and Speed Queen top loaders and one big Speed Queen front loader. So i dashed home and grabbed all the big sofa throws and the big towels and chucked em in, what fun it was to watch. A scoop of Radiant Matic pwder (same you have Nick) and at the rinse, a cap and a half of Cuddly Classic Fresh softner.
Cycle went like this...

Fill whilst reverse tumbling, fill flume shot from top of tub and was a very powerful jet, you add the detergent as its filling through a thing in the top of machine.

Wash, reverse tumbling, huge lifters in tub so very splashy and sudsy (see videos). I think i got a perfect *halfway up the door suds* and it didn't impede the drum movement at all.

Flush rinse 1, wash water drains and cold water is sprayed onto clothes, still reverse tumbling for quite a while.

Spin 1, About 600rpm max, maybe less, suds pouring down the door, i was in heaven.

*The was repeated with softener being added to second spray rinse*

Final spin, a very long 600rpm ish spin, tub slows down and then its over, all in 30 exact mins *i started it at 12 and opened the door at the end at 12:30*

I know the vids are quite crap but its on my mobile and i was being discreet. I was sat in the doorway of the laundromat in beautiful 40 degree weather on a nice comfy chair sipping some ice water, all provided by the lovely girls at the laundromat.
They also had a Westinghouse front loader but it was out of action, i got a pic but i haven't had chance to upload it yet.

Checkrate/Likes Grabs the Radiant for a sniff....... Oh yes thats the stuff LMAO! Not seen the vids yet but the pics of the machines I got off the youtube site are great. Your voice overs were fine on the vids youve done so dunna stress lad! N

Checkrate/Likes *I love getting a Laundrymat fix* I was at the Oregon Coast on a blind date, about an hour and a half from my house, well the date went ok, and dinner was nice, when I left his house, I found two 24 hour laundries one with vintage Milinor machines that only had Warm and hot settings(the washer would even spin with the door open so you know that it was pre-Ralph Nader), one of the Dryers was a Blackstone. I may or may not go out with this guy again, although, I may drive out just to go to this laundrymat PS---Great vids Matt, I love to hear your comitaries when you are making a vid.Are most of the machines in Au laundries American? I know that the one that I went to most reciently to get my fix they were Wascomat, Dexter, Maytag Neptune, Husbush(Speed Queen)oh! and American Computer Dryer.

Checkrate/Likes *Irishwashguy* would be great if you made a phone call to that laundry owner, just to let him know, about that "Ralph Nader Milnor". Always seems when i take my comforter and such, it never fails there are kids fascinated with those large machines, always a mom in attendance but she is usually busy with folding. At one time milnor was fixing the door lock for free, many of those large milnors have been in use for several decades.. Very dangerous, bet the owner would appreciate your call..

Checkrate/Likes Wascomats at the local laundromat do two or three (depending upon model) "flush rinses with one way tumbles", and think it is the neatest thing. Basically the washer keeps filling while the drum tumbles one way. Since there is no drain pump there are no worries about suds lock. Gives a nice good rinse for all but the most over suds loads. Always wondered why no domestic front loader does the same thing. L.

Checkrate/Likes *Laundress* no domestic did that until recently as it was under a Bendix Patent 1938. Westinghouse paid $125,000 in 1938 = 1-2 million today to use that technology. Just this year the new Frigidaires have what they call ART-Assured Rinse Technology. Its amazing we tumble the clothes open the drain and run the water!! HELOOOOO your 69 years late!! Bendix was the first Globally!! YAY!
