As some of you may know, I have been without hot water in my laundryroom for over a year now and just today we finally got a plumber to come and fix the hot water lines, in order to do so though, we had to remove half of the washers in the laundryroom. Anyway, after moving the Lady K back into place and hooking her up, I started her to see if there really was hot water. The machine sprange to life and started filling stronger than ever with a proper warm water... But it was set on cycle A... It was supposed to be HOT! So, I advanced it a bit past cycle B which was supposed to be warm and nothing changed, it was still that nice warm. So I tried toggling the cold water wash/rinse/auto temp control and when I put it on cold wash, it switched right to cold like it was supposed to. But I can't get a hot water wash! Any ideas on what might be wrong?

Jamie turn off the hot water faucet and leave the cold water faucet on, set the machine to hot wash, do you get cold water at full pressure or is the cold water just trickling in? If the cold water is coming in at full pressure I would say the timer is bad since it must be the timer that is setting the water temperature in that machine.

Or swap the hoses when you want hot and select the Cold Wash option?

Or just turn off the cold water for the hot wash fill. I have to do that in my basement because I have 26 washers hooked up and all of the vintage thermostatic water valves have a tendency to leak a small amount cold water into the hot water line, which brings down the hot water temperature. If I was a normal person and only had one washer hooked up the effect would be negligible, but since I'm far from normal, 26 machines magnifies the cold water leakage enormously. So if I want a really hot wash, I turn off the cold water and the beginning of the washers feed line while what ever washer I'm using is filling for a hot wash.
