When shopping for a replacement dishwasher for my mum in 1994, I was looking through the local Independent Electrical shop's instore-catalogue. I think this ring-binder was for staff information, but they let me have a look, as they know me (possibly too well! LOL).
Anyway, the model that I eventually bought was the Zanussi DW925 "Aquasave" (to replace the Zanussi DW400 that had packed up).
There was a superior model listed in this instore book, listed as the Zanussi DW935 "Directa" (not to be confused with the later cheapy DWS935). This machine had according to this catalogue, an auto-detergent-dispenser that could take a packet of detergent, and dispense it over a period of time. I can't remember if it was liquid detergent, or powder.
This machine also had a special diverter valve, which alternated the water spray to the baskets. It may have had push-buttons, as opposed to a rotary dial programmer.
I was told by the shop that it never came to the UK, despite being in their book.
Now, does anybody remember this; or was it on sale in Europe, but not the UK? Or did I dream this too...LOL!
