in the photo of the day ,really well made machines ,that clutch is familiar ,I used one of those on my 2nd gocart drive ,worked really well ,you know if the clutch holds up on a gocart it will last many times longer in a washing machine
that is why I used the name "gocartwasher" using parts from washing machines for the drive

Speed Queen Racer!

Would Love to hear a full fledged demo of a Speed Queen top loader as it revs up to a full final spin. Already have the Speed Queen demo from the "Videos" section of AW, but love to collect one with that really fast final spin and gradual slow down at the finish.--Laundry Shark

I have an unopened can of Speed Queen Fluid Drive fluid but have never opened it. Zoom-Spout oil seems to work just fine in them though...

the oil in speed queen washer clutch

I remember it was a light oil ,kinda kike 3 in one ,to make the engine not bog so bad I thinned the oil with paint thinner,so it would idle better ,ince it was up to speed it worked well, you see me humming along in the photo here

My mother who drove very carefully once got a speeding ticket - the only ticket in her life. Nearly brought her to tears.
When she came home we immediately nicknamed her "Speed Queen" which got her really mad but made her laugh all at the same time...
