Greg:

Thanks SO much for posting this! My only fear is now I will not get a moment's rest until I find the 906s to go with all this lovely literature. These are the most beautiful of all machines, so far as I'm concerned- even more so than the 1966 keyboard LKs, which are already pretty damn gorgeous.

And I just got my first centre-dial Maytags...

Did this dryer

come as a DG, or was it only a DE?

Thank you, thank you for the scans!

Oh yes, it was available in gas as well.

You're very welcome guys - I have tons of this kind of stuff, just not enough time to get it scanned!

That front page is just AWESOME! The 806 page is stunning too - but I've never seen the 906 brochures. Thanks for snapping these up here Greg - they will forever be saved in the archives.

Yowzah...many many thanks for these!

Oh, man...just freakin' gorgeous!

Last year, a friend of ours gave us a stash of old LIFE magazines, some from the 40s, many from the 50s and a few 60s, all in excellent shape. We were finally able to sit down and look through some of them this past weekend. Y'all won't believe some of the ads...soooo classic...I know there's at least one Maytag ad from '53 or '54. We want to scan some of them and contribute to the POD stash, definitely.

One item that I learned for myself is to adhere to #2A on the dryer instruction card. You definitely can *NOT* put a Frigidaire 1-18 washer load into a Maytag dryer!

Thanks again,
Rich

That's so true!

My friend has a Norge and a Maytag HOH dryer, and she has to divvy the loads from the washer to dry them properly.

I dry stuff from my 1-18 in the '63 Kenmore dryer, and the other day I did a mega-Bob-load. Will came home, emptied the dryer, and asked me later:

"Did you put the stuff from the washer into the dryer?"
"Yes."
"Was that one load??"
"Yes."
"Jeezus. I emptied out the dryer, and stuff just kept coming out, and coming out, and coming out..."

:-D

Forgot to give you the instructions for these when you were here Rich, I put them in the mail to you today. Remember me if you decided NOT to keep this set!

Where is the electric heating element in a Halo-of-heat.
Looks like it encircles the door?
