So, if it's working like a locomotive, why'd they replace it?

There are many reasons one gets rid of an old machine even if it "runs like a locomotive" With the proliferation of cheap appliances, some people just want a new washer because it is "old" and could break at any time or they want new features or just because the wife wanted a new one, are just some of the reasons people tell me.

My Uncle buys a new car as soon as the warranty runs out. An expensive habit many people have.

I have no problem with buying myself a new washing machine when i get tired of it, and I am sure to know a friend who will be more than happy to have a nice low milage washing machine of me for a small price!

It looks like it's in really good shape, but PLEASE don't post DD machines unless they're early examples such as the Design 2000 or 24" Kenmores from the early 1980's. Nearly every other machine on eBay is a DD and it gets a little boring after a while.

Just my opinion though.

I thought this was an old example. the control panel looks similar to the last of the BD's. And i like the speckled tub.

Plus for all this sites international viewers any Whirlpools are more exotic! :)
