YES! Who said that in a TLHA washing machine you cannot see the drum rotating?!?! The 1947 Launderall had a windowed lid either and here in Europe, specially in France where this kind of washers are very common, some of this washing machine in past had the windowed lid alghout this doesn't happen again (due to the detergent dispenser that now take place under the lid and not on the top like before).
If you search on ebay FRANCE you could get some Vedette with this ...but in Spain this brand become Otsein...have a look!

You know, if lid windows were mandatory on every washer, we wouldn't be FORCED to defeat the lid locks....:)

Hi Peter...really cannot answer to your question...I think the brand is Spanish but it doesn't sound like that...it could be German...but not sure...

This typology (glassed lid) is very common in France though!

Otsein...

I believe, is Spanish, but is part of the Candy, Hoover, Kelvinator, Zerowatt, Rosieres Group.

That is wild! Being able to see the *outside* of the basket while the machine is running... quite a different experience! Reminds me of a TL Kenmore that I saw in a Sears a long time ago that had a clear plastic tub and front panel.
