At an estate sale Sat, Ron (Kenmore58) and I looked at a Kenmore dryer. This dryer did not have a lint screen but a disposable filter bag. I would like any info on this dryer. |

Jon, Thanks for the info. When I got back to Rhode Island, I checked my Sears catalogs and could not find this particular machine. My guess was either 1959 or 1960. To give you more of a description, it had the rounded cabinet style of the '50's. The control panel had, I believe, three buttons on the left -- pink, yellow and blue, I think. Timer Dial on the right. As Tim said, it had the lint filter compartment, with the disposable bag for the lint, which there was a fresh one in there. I had to inquire. They said it worked but was noisy. They started the price at $10, but quickly dropped it to $5. Believe me, I thought and thought about it, but realty set in. Tim lives in an apartment, and I just don't have room in the house right now for vintage major appliances. Perhaps after my summer clean out, I might be able to sneak a few in. Anyway, hopefully another one will come along. Ron |
