Ardo is not new, actually it has been on the market for several years in Italy, perhaps it never was sold in your area. IMHO that company makes the most horrible quality appliances, I wouldn't dream of buying a machine from one of the Antonio Merloni brands. The Merloni company uses a lot of brands names for the same product. Ardo, Nordland, Servis, Edy, EBD, EFS, Upo, Tecnogas, Baumatic, Elto etc. etc. etc. For every country a different name. IIRC there were plans to change that and to use the Ardo name only since it is their biggest brand. Unfortunately no matter what label it gets, the product is still lousy. |

David, There were two Merloni companies, one was Merloni Elettrodomestici, the company that changed it's name to Indesit company. And the other was Antonio Merloni SPA that is now called the Merloni Group. Chuck, Yes, I think this is the same company that bought up the Philco brandname that was used already before in Italy. I found some more labels that Merloni uses: Blucher, Eurotech, Clatronic and Novomatic. Louis |
