That was my mom's washer when I was a kid!!! Goober me talked her into getting a kenmore from the church with a superroto swirl (bad move - Now I wish i had it back) Only difference from the picture was it has a pull out bleach dispenser and maybe not the special buttons to the right of the load size knob. But I remember playing with all them buttons and the squirt, squirt. I used to pull the agitator out and play with it in the bath tub trying to figure out how it worked. Also, the loud bang as it went into spin was rememerable as well. Very cool machine!
Anybody have one????
Have a good weekend,
John

last weekend, obtained a Maytag A208, got my DD Kenmore from the early 90' back from my sister, gave her a maytag LAT- something I got from a garage sell off craigs list ( actually got the washer and dryer - matched her dryer was only 3 blocks from her house ( only thing about the LAT the tub indexes to the right about an inch with each clockwise stroke, got a kenmore gas dryer just like mine a couple of weeks ago at a church garage sale, waiting on the LAV3600aww I ordered off the internet so now have 4 washers and 3 dyers and not much room to walk around in the garage. :-)
Have a great weekend!

Never had a Wards in the family, but always wanted one. Handsome machines.

We had a similar machine after our '62 Wards machine died. I went with my Mom to Wards and we picked out a MOL machine in 1975. When we fired it up, we were both surprised at how much noise it made! The fill, agitation and of course, the trademark "bang" during the spin cycle. Great machines!
