Ah, look what we have here. One of the last washers before the white on white trend. Constructa was a leading brand for washers in the 50's and 60's until it became part of the BSH company. Your sister's machine is the same as the similar Bosch or Siemens machines. I always liked them, but they had one disadvantage, they don't spin between rinses. That is the reason they need relatively much water, IIRC around 100 litres for a full load. That is quite an amount of water compared to modern machines, but it was already quite an achievement compared to older machines. I think it would be a shame to bring this to a dump, perhaps you can save it in a way if your sister wants a new machine. Louis |
