Model LLR6144A

Guy says when it stopped working and he moved it, there was
a 6" oil/grease spot on the floor. Doesn't agitate or spin.
Should I avoid it? He can spin the tub by hand, but not
move the agitator by hand. I'm most worried about what the
oil spot might indicate (I probably have the direct drive
coupling which I bought and didn't use for another purpose
a few years ago.)

Sounds like a bad tranny. However I believe that it is quite easy to change out the whole tranny on these DD machines. It would be worth it if you can find a good parts donor machine.
