I thought this was really unique in that it has a built-in Salt Shaker in addition to the double electrical outlet. Those kind of things always got my attention as a child. |

stainless steel front (which can easily be painted over with harvest gold paint). I have seen the TOL in this series. The consoles are HEAVY made of real steel. |

I have never seen this type of 2nd level wash arm in a GE before. I just remember them having the power tower. Even my parents TOL 1985 electronic dishwasher had a center extending power tower. |

I'm really getting into the pink thing. This oven doesn't look all that bad either. I like the large, flush knobs for adjusting the temperature. |

I would say that GE FF is very early 70s, that Suto Soak was for enzyme presoaks. And the PotScrubber II, yep, Andrew is right on. Those were awesome designs. weren't around very long, dont' know why. I wish they'd kept the separate wash arm desig insted of going back to the tower. And I love tht adjustable top rack. In fact that particular dishwasher was the model installed in the new house built next door to our lake house, putting it about 1973 1974 at very latest. A friend of mine in college, his parents had the same dishwasher. Woud love to have that self-clean GE range, vey cool.

I had almost the same exact 20" Wincroft stove in my apartment before I did over the kitchen 6 years ago. Mine had a black center top. The knobs were somewhat different. It was well made. When I was first going to remodel I was going to keep it and paint it red. It would have gone good with the black and white design I did. But after being rushed and with the cost of what it would have been I decided to just replace it with a 30" kenmore. Peter |

This was a awsome dishwasher. I don't understand why they didn't stay with the upper wash arm. Their was about 3 or 4 models made like this. At the time I thought this design would be the wave of the future. But GE got stuck back on the tower. It's amazing how when some of these corporations make something good they go back and downgrade the product. Peter |

That Kenmore dryer was not the BOL, hard as that is to believe. There was one model below that, which had only one timed cycle, no Perma-Press settings, no switchable heat setting. We had one from about 1965 or 1966 until I left home. The console design was the same, though. That was the HOTTEST dryer I have ever seen; Lord help you if you left things in it too long. It could bake wrinkles into Perma-Press that took another wash and another dry to remove. |

The GE range with the side controls was great! That is until my cat jumped up and turned it on burning my house down to ashes!!!! I had the pink over under 30 inch Americana and due to no counter space,I'd keep my Mr.Coffee on the front right(Sensi-Temp)burner.One hot summer day in 1995,I left my Hollywood,Fl.home to go and make a bank deposit 3 blocks away.As I was biking home,I noticed the fire department had trucks in our alley and saw smoke pouring out of my house!!!Two of the fireman were giving my 4 cats oxygen and the roof collapsed starting to feed and develope even more flames and smoke. The firemarshal showed me the pressed in button(8")saying that was the cause and I knew I didn't turn it on but remembered "kenmore",my cat had a bad habit of jumping on top of the stove to catch flies. This time,he went too far and landed on the pushbutton .People still,to this day don't comprehend the removal/otlawing of push button controls.I am sure Ralph Nador had a hand in that decision. |

I really wish I was in your area- that G.E. range is a real find. It's very TOL, with P*7 self-cleaning, and the sensi-temp burner up front. As much as I'd love to have a 40" G.E. range, I could be very happy with that 30-incher. Great find, and I hope that someone who appreciates it gives it a good home. |
