Hi Everybody, Believe it or not, I "Invented" The first Zanussi washing machine with an 8KG wash load capacity.

A good few years back (2002/03.), I thought to myself, "Why not have a Zanussi that can wash a lot in one go" and I did. I came up with it around the same time when Whirlpool introduced it's Dreamspace washing machine with an 8KG load capacity and this would be a perfect rival to it. Just a pity they didn't make my creation, the FJX1486W which is a Jetsystem model and it features 1400 RPM spin, delay timer and time remaining display, Super Rinse and AA40 options and a Hand Wash programme.

Here's the control panel of it.

I wonder what everyone thinks of that!

But of course, my wish came true for an 8KG Zanussi to be made and here is it's successor, the ZWF14791W.

Nice isn't it!

Nice looking washer! Apparently they don't sell these new models yet overhere in the Netherlands, the Dutch website shows the older models only. Odd.

It's just an AEG clone... that already is an Electrolux clone!

They're good machines though!

From what I've heard though, they're excellent machines.

Are the AEG versions any better?

Or, is it just premium pricing and a longer warranty ?

AEG is a favorite of mine, but under the hood it's the same, here it is LAVAMAT 84812!

Which to go for?

So which is worth going for :
Zanussi or Electrolux ?
Both seem to be on sale in retailers in Ireland. Increasing number of Electrolux machines.

Here's a picture of the AEG. It looks pretty much like it's Zanussi counterpart.

That is a picture of the 7kg machine, the 8kg machine looks almost the same.

Yes, I like the new AEG's too! Very nice machines. I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between that and a Zanussi lol! BTW, My created model was larger than the new ones, it would be the same size as the Dreamspace. Imagine that!
