Pardon me if there is another thread about this somewhere, but since I only look at the Imperial section, I decided to post here. So far in the last two days, there have been hits from at least 10 different locations that are within 30 minutes of Pittsburgh and even more within a 2 hours' drive. Excuse me for being direct, but who are all you people? Aren't any of you vintage washer & dryer collectors?

I had been talking with Jimmy, Randy and Graham about having something informal in August for the few locals that there are, but what about the rest of you? Please hit me up and let's get something started. Any locals want a 1-18 set to get your collection started??!?

BTW....great idea, Robert. Thanks for all you do!

Rich

I think that map just shows random places, as my city and state do not come up when I log on or even if I post. And yes, I've waited more than 5 minutes and checked back. I have seen my city and state come up, but it's never even close to the time I've been on the site. Has anyone else noticed this?

No the map does match so many of the places we know members are located in, it would be too much of a coincidence otherwise, but I don't think the map updates more than once every 1/2 hour. It claims to update every five minutes, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Does it locate visitors by the computer's address? Stupidity hanging out for all to see.

Hi Tom, yes it traces the IP Address of the computer back to it's local Internet Service Provider.
