I was just browsing through a few manufacturer's websites and discovered that Hitachi have scaled back thier washer range from about 6-7 models to just 2 top loaders.
Both front loaders have been discontinued, as have both of the twin tubs, all that is available now are both the top loaders.
I wonder if this is due to declining sales perhaps, or are Hitachi going out of the washer business, I hope they are staying as they are a pretty good brand for washers, I understand that Hitachi regularly comes in 2nd for reliability in Choice magazines tests.
Also my late father and his lady friend had a small Hitachi which lasted for some 18 years before needing replacement, quite a good record in this day and age when machines seem to be made to last about 5 years and then that's it.
