Mark-

No pic showed up and the other thread seems to be temporarily locked up. Is your picture size too large?

I must admit they look good from the side. I hope you enjoy them.

I really thought it was a Bendix on that large pallet.

Patrick

Mark, You'll find yourself paying more attention to the machines than the yard now. Once you get hooked on 1-18's, it's hard to step away for ANY reason, as they are very entertaining.

I love my set!

Steve

Christfr oh Christfr......I should spank you for that comment...because you know it just isn't true! lol

Somebody took good care it!
Foraloysius-From what i can tell the set is completely original...They will need to be waxed and cleaned up just a bit but otherwise ready to put into service.

where did you find these beauties at??
The set came from the great northwest. Used Craters and Freighters and they did an excellent job of packaging. You should have seen all the styrofoam they used around them so they wouldn't get scratched.....The price wasn't bad either to have them shipped......

nice set there! You'll have fun with those for sure. That tub looks to be in great shape which means these are probably a low use machines.

And no excuses for the clothes! I love men in shorts!

Don't cha love the way Craters n Freighters packs?? I just got a machine from the Northwest too and they built the box around it! Well worth the moolah!

Waiting for that virgin wash........

Great Set!

We had the same exact washer when I was growing up. Brings back great memories!!

HM hMMM nice set! Looks good. (clearing throat).

Um, The washer/Dryer looks good too. I agree with the Jet, an attractive moustached guy in shorts....
showing his new washer/dryer set always get my attention.

Crater & Freighters does an excellent job of packing. Super thick boxes, enough styrofoam to insulate an attic, and a wood palet to boot.

1-18's ready to go!

Got the 1-18's in place this afternoon after checking everything. did have to clean the spin and agitate rollers as they were gunked up a bit.....Other than that they are ready to go.....Here is my '65 Roller-Matic and the 1-18 washer together (where they should be right?) Still need to put a coat of Rejex on them and they will shine like no tomorrow.......

'65 Roller-Matic and the 1-18 washer

Together at last.......now they just need a '67 or '68 Roller-Matic to keep them company.....Don't ya think?

Video

I do have a video that i took with my digital cam but i do not have a clue how to download the video from my camera. If someone would e-mail with some advice I would greatly appreciate it. I will have to figure out how to edit it since my lovely wife decided to yank my shorts down in the middle of the video.....Thanks for all the great comments guys.....Jetcone and Washertalk, I do believe you two are due for an eye exam.......lol

never heard of Rejex

Tlee-Rejex (pronounced rejects) is what alot of people use on the motorcycles...it is a reactive polymer that reflects harmful UV rays from the sun...it also protect from the elements as such as bird droppings and such.....almost like a paint sealer.....It goes on very easy and wipes off just as easy but leave a deep shine that will last about a year before you have to recoat. 1 bottle will do about 3-4 full sized cars or trucks......when you put it on, put it on sparingly......You should be able to find it at most Harley shops.......That's about the only place i've seen it here in St. Louis.....If you can't find it they do have a website corrosionx.com give it a try. you will be amazed how easy it is to put on and take off and how long it lasts

Mark,

The washer is looking good. Sure didn't take you long to get it in the house and hooked up did it!

I know you are going to love these machines, especially the capacity.

keep it in the video

LOL @ Jetcone......it would give everyone a good laugh that's for sure! As long as they weren't pointing and laughing......LOL
Is there a good program to use to edit the video? For some reason my camera put the video in a ".mov" file extensiona and windows movie maker doesn't recognize such an extension. Any ideas how to change it or a different program that would work so i could download it or put a link on the site for it? Mark

Hi Mark, great pictures! I didn't realize you had a beautiful '65 Frigidaire as well.

I agree, no need to edit Mark :). I use Adobe Premier Elements to edit my video, it will accept a .MOV file I'm pretty sure.

Softener dispenser

Did the 1-18 washers have a softener dispenser available as an option or did they come with the machines when new?

Forgot to mention in the previous thread that i also have a '60 Multi-Matic that I am in the process of restoring. It looks like a "cow" right now because it needs painting and is primered in spots....Also need to figure out why the basket spins during the agitation cycle.....something to do with the brake i'm sure just haven't figured it out yet....
