hmm, me neither. I'm assuming we're talking about the tilt-out panel? Kinda neat!

I am so sorry I gave up my power clean dishwasher. I am happy with my GE tall tub, but nothing is like the Whirlpool Powerclean.

Unfortunately the position and style of the controls made them very vulnerable to spills or other sources of moisture coming from above the dw. There was one around here that several people loved and tried to repair and keep working, but it is no small wonder why it was discontinued. Sad story.

Which leaves me to wonder.....

If that design was discontinued, WHY are there hidden control machines still out there?

Perhaps new technology enables them to be more dependable, although Maytags with the touch pads on the front panel ran into trouble with steam getting into the controls and blowing components.
