Hey Frigidaire guys:
My '54 unimatic occasionally makes a "growling" sound during the spin. It is not constant and doesn't do it everytime it spins. It will also occasionally make this sound as it is braking from the spin. I just wondered if I should be concerned or is this just a unimatic trait?? It seems I remember my Grandmother's '55 unimatic making this same sound.
Thanks for your input.
Bob

It's probably the normal sound of the motor start switch during spin acceleration. Do you hear that sound in the video linked below?

Robert:

I didn't hear it on the video. It doesn't make the sound on the start of the spin it is after it has been spinning for a minute or so and usually it happens on the final spin toward the end. Other than this little problem (if it is a problem) this machine is as smooth as a new spinning top. I really appreciate your help and input. Thanks!!!
Bob
