I've noticed that thier are 3 versions of the same two washers. The Whirpool Duet is cloned as the Maytag Epic and The Kenmore HE5t. The Whirlpool Cabrio is cloned as the Maytag Bravos and the Kenmore Oasis HE. Why is this so?

Because they're all produced by Whirlpool!!! and given different brand names. Features are slightly different between, especially the Kenmore versions.

Whirlpool becomes GM

It's the GM name game, keeping changing the names and see which ones make the most $$$ then drop the rest and move forward to the next marketing game!

I do believe the Whirlpool makes more money under the "Kenmore" name than any other.
