I honestly didnt know what to call this thread, so many ideas but nothing to capture how I really feel at the minute. I also dont know what to put wordwise so il do my best for each picture. Maybe keeping it to pictures might be enough and when Im able to il be able to say more. I had the most amazing day of my life..... Any guesses as to where I was???LOL! |

Now for some classics, Im utterly amazed at how effective the Hoovermatic is, Having only seen youtube videos of them I wasnt really prepared for the rollover they achieve, nor the effectiveness of the Servis Supertwin. Still dumbfounded for words at the minute. I know im saying pretty basic stuff but I cant get out what I wanted to say! |

Mike, I honestly dont really know what to say. I had the most wonderful day its true, so il keep it simple. It meant so much to me that you put all of this on for me yesterday. You have a fantastic home, tremendous collection and great knowledge. I feel so honoured I was able to share a wondeful day with you not forgetting meeting Ty and Ella. And Top Marks on lunch too, wow it was fantastic, really well presented, couldnt have done better myself! Look forward to coming across again, maybe il have more to offer talkwise than "oh my god" "jesus" and "thats amazing" and "thats unbeliveable" LOL! ~Thankyou again. R |

Well I was shocked at how small a 9lb loader was, im 5'10 and it didnt even reach my waist! It truly was a great day Mark. Of course I have more pics but that was all I could manage today. Mike has loads more too, dare say a few more of me might appear soon. Lol! Of course I also used a few hoovers and that too was an experience. Used my first Kirby, Darth Vader Hoover and others I didnt know existed! Fantastic! Just Fabulous. R x

Looks like you had a great day! I loved the wee Servis washing machine. Facinating! It would be great if some of the Scottish folk could maybe hold one. A bit cheeky saying this since i don't even own a washing machine haha. |

Looks like you guys had quite a wash-in! Love all those machines----we don't see many twin-tubs, here. Thanks for posting all the pics, Rob and Mike. My UK Persil and Ariel arrived today (both bio version). The Persil is the most clean-rinsing detergent I've ever used. Even in my hyper-soft water, suds were gone by the 2nd (of 3) rinse in my front-loader. Haven't tried the Ariel, yet, but love the lemony scent. |

When I got into work my manager notified me that I got the Stock Control Officer job I applied for! Now have a more responsible job accountable for sales, stock counting and forecasting. Pushes me further up the staff grade scale nearer to management with a well rewarding job. Great hours too with 2 early morning starts finishing in the after noon and 3 office hour shifts. All weekday too so no more weekends! Time to get my social life back on track. I start when I get back from Babados in 3 weeks time! Im so happy! Yay for Life! R

it will make a massive difference from being on nights, I cant wait! And my new colleagues are just super too. Not that I wont miss the guys I work with, they are great too. Time for me to start getting out again. 18 months is not that long to be single but its been long enough for me in terms of a good old cuddle lol. Got ya email, but I think in my anal way Peter Kay got it wrong. Omo was long off the scene in 1994 lol! Unless his mum had a secret stash! Maybe she still has some? R

The Servis twinny is amazingly quiet! Far quieter than the Hoover and Hotpoint ones. Also comparing the Hoover and Servis, I hope not to offend anyone by saying this, but build quality difference is amazing between the 2. The Servis has a wonderful cooker quality cabinet of enamel. It feels far more robust and I have to agree with Mike, as he has often mentioned, the washday workhorse! The Servis just quietly hums along with a nice sound. Very impressive piece. Thanks again Mike was wonderful. Little bits I had forgotten I keep remembering. Felt like such a long day, although it went so quick. I was healthily tired out before the train got back to Crewe. 4 drinks with some friends and 2 games of bowling ontop of a Chinese meal finished me. Fell asleep assoon as I got into bed lol!

Jon, absolutely agree, Mikes garage is like a sweet shop with everything! Lunch was not quite Fish and Chips, was far healthier but just as tasty, Smoked fish selection, watercress and cherry tomato salad, olives. Pasta salad, bean salad oh it was just so tasty! My kind of food and so well presented. Hand on heart it was the most fabulous lunch I have had. No fibs. Great food, great company in great surroundings (lunch was al fresco in Mikes wonderful garden. Without plastering it on at all it was just fantastic. I cant stop thinking about it and re living every detail in my mind. R
