Hello Diomede, I'd only save that Indesit just to throw it down from the roof of a five or six storey house! Much better to save the really excellent Philips tv... |

Thank you Tom! The salt air can't be the problem, Rotterdam is not at the coast, but more inland. I have friends who live in a seaside resort and they never had problems like this. The apartment building where this picture was taken has connections for a washer in the bathroom. There is no window in the bathroom but it is on a central ventilation system. My wild guess is that they turned off the ventilation system and the humidity level in the bathroom is very high all the time. Still very odd that the rust gets to such a degree. I've never seen a recent machine seen as rusty as this one. I agree with the conclusions here. |
