I am famous for googling all kinds of things, and happened on this on Garden Web about Ariston appliances. I reallly do not know alot about them, i have seen them on E-bay from time to time, other than that, not a peep. The discusion concluded a 'pull out' from America before it started........i know that Reiglmans in Gresham Or carries the dishwasher, although, discouraged me from looking at it, that is was junk, and they have never sold one. What is everyones' thoughts on this? I also placed a link on here to the conversation, which could be here say for all I know. Please enlighten me...........

Ariston Washer & Dryer

I am marketing a new condo development and the developer had selected the ariston front loading stack set. In the past six months, we have had countless issues with the dryers. They quickly start to sound like a freight train. We call out service and they have to order parts, so we have been switching them out with new dryers. Now, we have three dryers in a store room waiting for parts and of the five residents who have these machines, two more are already having the same issues. We decided to pull them all and use the LG Tromm washer/dryer combo. Now, two months later, its turned out to be a good decision. That's our Ariston story. Todd

I had been looking at getting a Ariston combo or maybe stack. But the issues is that the service is slim. I went through enough with the service for LG. I hope you don't have the same issues with the LG's that I had. Very Very Poor Service. Thats why I got rid of the machine.

When it comes to appliances, its often just the luck of the draw. The Aristons were very problematic; so we changed to the LG combo. The LG washer that I have came out of 2 weeks of Hurricane Katrina flood waters, then worked perfectly. I guess I need to clear it all; the washer worked fine but the dryer had to be replaced. But, two years later, the washer is still doing well. Its funny because my mom had the Frigidaire models with the control tower from so very long ago; she had so much trouble that the repair guy just left the back off of the machine because he always knew he would be back. They ultimately changed it for a slightly later model which did alot better. Come to think of it, I bear a strange resemblance to that repair man! LOL Will post pictures soon. Todd

Ariston leaving the US?
(the name MEANS excellence but are they?)

No great loss.

NEXT!

Their market-share is proabably smaller than a pimple on the @$$ of progress.
