Well, it was a pleasure meeting Bob (Bobbins) today as he came by to get my old and his new Bendix. I’m glad it is going to a good home. Bob has got the parts to get it going again.

Got to show Bob my little collection. Hope everyone is having a good Labor day weekend.

Brian, both myself and the Bendix made it home safe. No problems crossing the borders, yet the border official thought it was kind of odd for me doing a day trip from Victoria to Seattle to pick up an old washing machine (in his view it is junk).

I placed it next to my other sad Bendix machines Hopefully, between yours and my other parts I will get one up and running very soon. BTW I have a handle!

Brian, thanks again for your generosity!!!! You made me a happy guy!!!

Cheers!

Bob

Is that your restoration project in the background? What kind of car is it?

Congratulations Bob, let me know if you need any section of the service manual scanned. Having two machines to make one is the way to go these day. I don't think I have ever had two of the exact same machines that had the same broken part in each machine, so this should get your Bendix up and running in no time.

What a great Labor Day find for you, Bobbins. Congrats, and be sure to post photos/video when the Bendix is up and running.

Brian, I'm also curious about the car in the background of the above photo. Any chance of some info and photos?

Great machine. Willing to wait for the final story of repair. Bet it will be fun to do.

Bob, could you copy and email me the manual?

Below is a picture of my garage....work in progress...

Years ago at the age of 14 or younger, I had a garage full of washers, dryers, dishwasher, vacuums....all in working order...my family thought I was crazy. Good thing our water wasn't metered!

Dueling Bendix’s

Hi Bob

Glad you made it home okay. Looks like a Bendix factory in that garage. I’m looking forward to you getting it going again.

(the car, it is a 1954 Chevy Suburban, runs but needs work)
